Day 84 - Old Hickory & Nashville Night

Off by 8am this morning for Nashville.  About a four hour drive, all freeway.

We went to Liz's for lunch.   Home cooked food again.   My order?  Meat loaf...

We got all set up at the RV Park and had a few minutes to Rock Out!  We are in Nashville after all.

We drove over to Andrew Jackson's Plantation.  Beautiful place and very peaceful.

He had several hundred slaves.  These are a couple of the slave's dwellings.

An absolutely perfect day.

We were there walking the grounds for about three hours.   Very nice.

Martha got to try her hand at picking cotton.

He is buried here, alongside his wife.

Martha with a couple of the tour guides.

Then we tripped over to downtown Nashville.  Action galore.  A few blocks away a Garth Brooks concert was getting ready to start.  Kelly Clarkson was there too.

Dinner time.

Celebrating our time together.  Great fun.

Out onto the street to do some boot shopping.

No boots in this place.

Oh well, as long as we are here........

Going back into the city tomorrow.   Grand Ole Opry tomorrow night.  Should we get some Western Boots for you too?  What size?
