Day 59 - Hurricane's Tail

Last night and this morning we were lucky enough to sit in the tail of a Hurricane.   Wind and rain but we didn't tip over or anything.   We talked about staying another day because of the rain and travel conditions but decided to make the trek anyway.   Rained pretty hard at times.  The park we are in is a really old military instillation.    We are right on the beach and if it were nice out it would be fantastic.   There is no internet here though or tv so luckily we have cards and satellite.

Stormy weather predicted for tomorrow so our day at Virginia Beach is a 'wash'.

This fort, Fort Monroe, still has its old Battery's standing.

Tomorrow we will go to Jamestown and 'Poke' around like John Smith did.   Maybe not just like he did.  We'll do that instead of the beach.  It is about a half hours drive to Jamestown.
