Day One
Our longest drive day, 8 hours. Most of the remaining days are 3-5 hour trips. We are staying in Wells, Nevada overnight, not even unhooking the truck. Tomorrow we drive to North Salt Lake City, about three hours. Only two things of interest today. Outside of Winnemucca in the middle of nowhere there was a sign Acreage For Sale. No money down, no qualifying required. I guess if you are selling land that is dry desert, no power, water, or sewer, you can't be too picky about the buyer. The second thrill was passing OJ Simpsons home outside of Lovelock, Nevada. Cold Creek Prison. Lovely place to pass. This is our site tonight. Nice and windy, should rock us to sleep.

uneventful 1st day & your anticipation is at rest & now time to enjoy the ride...hope the wind rocked you soundly to sleep...be glad your approaching Salt Lake from the W...going up N on I-15, it takes about an hour & half to get thru the greater SL area...our least fav part of pulling the boat to MT...:-)
