Day 73 - Alligator Root

We started our day with a ride from Captain Bob's Airboat Adventures.   Very fun.   It was sunny with clear skis and 80 degrees.  Perfect.

Everyone had a headset, Martha doesn't have hers on yet, and he gave a great narrative of the plants, birds, and gators.

It is really very beautiful.  We loved it.  I thought we would be engulfed with mosquitos and bugs but actually there were not any.

If you have never been for an airboat ride it is really fun.

We probably saw about a dozen gators.  Some were eyeballs above the water, some so camouflaged that they were barely noticeable without a close examination.

Close enough.  Actually he took the boat right along side some of them and they shot away so fast it is unbelievable.

Anyone for a quick dip?

Huge birds nests and we saw so many cool birds.

The trees were very nice as well with the hanging Spanish Moss.

This afternoon we went in for Martha's Root Canal.   Hence the title, Alligator Root.   The dentist said it was much worse than the X-rays displayed and very difficult.  I sat in the office for the full FOUR AND A HALF HOURS that poor Martha was in the chair with her mouth under attack.  The office waiting room had a nice big T.V. for my entertainment.

I don't know who suffered more, Martha's 4 1/2 hour dental procedure, or my 4 1/2 hours watching political commercials.  She is feeling fine.  My Rib dinner is turning into pizza however as her appointment today was actually at 2pm and now it is after 7pm.  Tomorrow we move South to the Everglades.  We hope that your week is going well, even though ours is swamped, or graded, or rooted, or something.
